Our current pastor, Rev. Castro L Walker, Sr. accepted the call in 1992. Pastor Walker, with the support of his congregation, has surpassed several challenges during many urban changes and population shifts within the community. Under his leadership, the church has continued to remain steadfast with the belief upon which the church was founded.

 

One hundred forty years of God's amazing grace has enabled Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church's congregation of Christian believers to remain a beacon of light in the Third Ward community. The power of God has enabled the congregation to fulfill the vision of our forefathers through continuous prayer, firm faith, and the blessings of His grace!
